Neil Tanner attended CSU, Chico for video. He then studied in Canada at Confederation College and Concordia University for film and photography. He’s worked as a radio DJ, grip, audio tech, set builder, and art director. When you hire him, you get all his other production experience too. Neil volunteers as a guide, taking kids with disabilities cross-country skiing. He is honored to coach Stanford graduate students as they prepare for their version of TED Talks.

Charlie Kuttner left the high tech world to make movies. He’s worked every position in the camera, lighting, and sound departments, as well as a rental house camera technician, production manager, studio manager, assistant director, editor, and post production supervisor. Someone on your crew has probably worked with him. Charlie’s attention to detail and quick edits on set have our teleprompting clients requesting his services again and again.
Dawn Scribner graduated from Antioch College in Media and began her career at McCune Sound & Video. She spent the next twenty odd years providing client support, labor scheduling, and production management at Bay Area production houses AVTS, Large Screen Video, VER, and Magnetic Image. She left on her own to produce live events and remotes at every kind of venue from boardroom to stadium. In 2006 she became a massage therapist with a private bodywork practice in Marin County. She was all but retired from the “business” for eight years until she came to work as our Scheduler.
Jason LaBatt has held a number of production positions over the years and cites teleprompter operator as one of his favorites. Whether working in a corporate, commercial, or live event environment—with anyone from a staffer to the Cookie Monster to the First Lady—he brings a positive attitude and a calm demeanor to productions. Jason volunteers video services for several non-profits including Meals on Wheels, American Red Cross, and the SF SPCA.
Jim Thylin is happily married and a proud father of three musical kids. His background is sales for high tech companies in Silicon Valley and real estate. Jim has helped hundreds of speakers, from Dr. Oz passionately telling the world about the California Endowment to Nicole Kidman addressing the United Nations as Goodwill Ambassador. From Snoop Dog reviving an old album he had not sung in 20 years to Lee Hammond, President of AARP addressing the largest club in the world.
Martin Hyland has extensive experience both in front of and behind the camera. He studied acting with Lee Strasberg at the New School in New York City, The American Conservatory Theater’s Professional Actor’s Training Program and Graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. As an experienced actor, Martin can coach your talent to appear more relaxed, present, and engaged. He volunteers as a big brother with the organization Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect (SCAN), and volunteers massage services in local hospitals and hospices.
Ralph Kelliher is the nicest cat you could ever have working on your team. He’s dapper, calm, and brilliant on all things teleprompting. He graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design, then created illustrations for numerous books and magazines including Harper’s, Newsweek, and the Wall Street Journal before coming to prompting in 2003. His clients range from multinational corporations to local individuals who request him time after time.
Thom Tanner lives near the mountains and covers our Sacramento and Reno-based teleprompting needs, working with clients such as UC Davis and Warren Haynes. He’s been a mechanical engineer for 23 years involved with DoD research and medical devices but also enjoys inventing products, rock climbing, surfing, exploring and mtn biking. Thom volunteers with Big Brothers, Big Sisters and the Special Olympics as an EMT. His idol is Thomas Edison, and one day… he also plans to become a famous inventor! He’s already started big with our new TeleStepper.
