Our musician teleprompter live at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival in San Francisco.

Call it a Concert Teleprompter, Word Wedge, Musician Prompter, or Stage Prompter, whatever.

Musicians have a lot of lyrics to memorize, especially if they tour and change set lists each night. And when a supergroup comes together, singers are often performing other artists’ songs.

Still, they mostly use the concert teleprompter to jog their memory. No, they’re not staring at it the entire performance 😛 The prompter can also act as a set list, too.

We’ve supplied concert teleprompters for Ozzy Osbourne, Sting, Liza Minnelli, Metallica, Snoop Dogg, Rufus Wainwright, Taeyang, Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Billy Idol, Sammy Hagar, Diana Ross, Darlene Love, and T-Bone Burnett. We’ve prompted songs in Spanish, Greek, and Korean as well.

Doing a concert is a thrill for us teleprompter operators, since for that brief moment, we get to play along with the band.  And yes, our toes are tapping too 😀

K-pop superstar Taeyang reading our lyric teleprompter for an MTV concert in San Francisco

Normally, the lyric teleprompter sits low on the stage between the musicians and the fans.

However, when MTV was broadcasting Korean superstar Taeyang’s concert, one of their cameras was positioned behind the singer. It would see his lyrics on the teleprompter too!

The solution was to hang the teleprompter monitor in the rigging and lights above the stage. We’ve also placed large monitors in the balcony for other performers.
